The project helps women groups raise organic and free-range chicken. Free-range chicken farming involves raising chickens with continuous, unconfined access to the outdoors, allowing them to forage, exercise, and exhibit natural behaviors. This method improves animal welfare, produces healthier, nutrient-rich meat/eggs with lower cholesterol, and often results in higher market prices.
The women involved will be trained on how to manage the project. It also aims to strengthen the teamwork of the group through the assigned tasks, generate additional income for them and their families, contribute to food security through egg and meat production, and provide opportunities for women to become economically productive.
