The Gratitude Fund PH provides support to the Vincentian Missionaries so they can continue their work of helping families in Payatas heal and recover from grief and deep emotional trauma, ensure that left-behind children have access to education, and provided support in their quest for justice.

The drug war during the incumbency of President Rodrigo Duterte left at least 6,252 individuals killed in police anti-illegal drug operations alone. The death toll is estimated to reach almost 30,000 if those killed vigilante-style are included, according to human rights groups.

In Payatas, the Solidarity with Orphans and Widows, a project initiated by the Vincentian Missionaries in the Philippines, are “helping the women start afresh after losing their menfolk to the government’s war on drugs”. (Coverstory Ph, 2023).

The Gratitude Fund PH provides the Vincentian Missionaries some support to continue their work of assisting the families of the victims of extrajudicial killings (EJK) in their recovery by providing psychosocial interventions and treatments that will respond to their economic needs, their quest for justice, and their desire to be healed from the trauma brought about by the tragic death of their loved ones.
