In the Philippines, approximately 3,600 new cases of childhood cancer are reported each year. At the Philippine General Hospital (PGH), a tertiary state-owned hospital and the largest training hospital in the country, approximately 400 new cases of childhood cancer are diagnosed each year. PGH provides inpatient, outpatient and long-term pediatric cancer care, especially to indigent patients.

The Gratitude Fund supports the work of the Jesuit missionaries stationed at the PGH. In December 2024, the Gratitude Fund helped in ensuring that the simple Christmas wish lists of 200 children with cancer become a real gift for them during the season while at the same time provide for milk supplement for children who need upbuilding so that their chemotherapy sessions can continue.
The Gratitude Fund will continue to support this work in ensuing years.
