The Missionary Sisters of Our Lady of the Triumph of the Cross was established in 1986 in the Archdiocese of Ozamis by Sr. Maria Violeta Navarro with the permission and approval of the late Archbishop Jesus Dosado. The sisters started their mission living in a house lent to them by the Carmelite nuns. When the community grew, the Archdioces of Ozamis donated to the sisters a lot in the old Catholic cemetery in Pingol, Ozamis City where they built their convent.

The sisters are undertaking several mission activities, including educating children, engaging in mass media communications, and taking care of parish education needs. They are dependent on the generosity of benefactors to fund their daily subsistence, maintain their living quarters, and respond to health needs.

The Gratitude Fund provided support to the sisters to renovate their convent suffering from decades of decay and neglect.
